Everything about eyeglass spring insert

What is spring insert ?

It is one vital part of flexible eyeglass temples, therefore,it's the vital part for spring hinged eyeglass.

They usually consists of mechanism head, (nickel alloy or stainless steel material) and springs behind, in the middle, there is one small fork or tiny U tube part.

How many types of spring inserts are there ?

There are 3 types of spring inserts mainly in our company.

Spring inserts for boxed spring hinges

There is usually one stainless steel fork in the middle, after springs are inserted into hinge box, the fork will be clamped into the groove premade inside firmly, which disable the springs to be pull out easily. Once you pull it out (when we open the temples), the compressed springs behind will give a big strength to front loop to say go back, I want to resume my shape, I can't breath now as I'm pressed too much. Our models from TX-001 to TX-059 are all this kind of springs.

Spring insert for flexible eyeglass temples

our models from TX-061 to TX-080 are all these types. unlike the spring insert for box springs, they haven't got one fork usually, one U tube shape small part replace it. After it's inserted into eyeglass temples body, the workers will use one small punching machine to punch the temple outside, to create one small spot which are exactly in the middle of this tube, its function is just same as fork above, enable us to open the temples a bit but give the strength to come back, yet the springs won't be pull out easily.

Spring inserts for titanium eyeglass

our model from TX-091 to TX-095 are, they are specially for titanium frames.
